Something the left always seems to leave unsaid.
Liberals claim President Bush shouldn't have started this war. They
complain about his prosecution of it. One liberal recently claimed Bush
was the worst president in U.S. history. Let's clear up one point: We
didn't start the war on terror. Try to remember, it was started by
terrorists on 9/11. Let's look at the "worst" president and
mismanagement
claims.
FDR led us into World War II. Germany never attacked us; Japan did. From
1941-1945, 450,000 lives were lost, an average of 112,500 per year.
Truman finished that war and started one in Korea, North Korea never
attacked us. From 1950-1953, 55,000 lives were lost,an average of 18,333
per year.
John F. Kennedy started the Vietnam conflict in 1962. Vietnam never
attacked us. Johnson turned Vietnam into a quagmire. From 1965-1975,
58,000 lives were lost, an average of 5,800 per year.
Clinton went to war in Bosnia without UN or French consent. Bosnia
never
attacked us. He was offered Osama bin Laden's head on a platter three
times
by Sudan and did nothing. Osama has attacked us on multiple occasions.
In the two years since terrorists attacked us, President Bush has
liberated
two countries, crushed the Taliban, crippled al-Qaida. Put nuclear
inspectors in Lybia, Iran and North Korea without firing a shot, and
captured a terrorist who slaughtered 300,000 of his own people.
We lost 600 soldiers, an average of 30 a year. Bush did all this abroad
while not allowing another terrorist attack at home.
Worst president in history? Liberal speak.
Defending Hitler is what I would expect from a right winger. Germany
declared war on us, not us on them. You would take over Iraq but not defend
the Koreans? Well, I wouldn't do either. Actually, it was Eisenhower
(Truman if you go back far enough) who got us into Vietnam. Bush crushed
the Taliban, but Reagan put them in power to begin with, and now there is a
resurgence. He's not the worst anyway. That honor goes to Grant (you know
who he is?)

It was the democrat presidents, Kennedy and Johnson, who got us deeper
into that war because politically they were afraid of being seen as
weak on national defense. If the commies took over Vietnam, there was
no way the Democrats/Johnson would win the 68 election. ( remember,
Johnson had the chance to be a 9 year president )

A sentence dripping with racial bigotry. The dark skinned natives of
Afg couldnt takeover the country themselves. Only a US president,
spending a few hours on the subject one day, could accomplish such a
feat! Then another president, despite being just as dumb as the
first, is able to just snap his fingers and he CRUSHES the locals.
