Did not Bush say that he was not into nation building? Did I miss something
along the way. Given that Bin Laden was responsible for 9/11, was catchable
in Afghanistan and we were in Afghanistan to supposedly catch him and
destroy the Taliban... why did we turn tail and invade Iraq claiming we were
going to build a Democracy there whether they wanted it or not? What happen
to real conservatives that used to think we should be taking care of the
U.S. of America and not being big brother to the rest of the world?

Just wondering....

They sold out the USA to the highest bidder. Only a few benefited from it,
the rest are dreamers, or as a poster as in their sig line "fools".

Correction, To ensure the continued free flow of oil. So what? Since we
use much more than we produce, doesn't that mean we must acquire it
somewhere?

,I=Israel

An Ally, So what? again?

,L=Liberation

Finally, we get too something worthwhile!

And lets not forget, that we were the ones provoked, not the other way
around! If peace is what others had wanted, then peace they would have had!

Tell that to the families who have lost life and limbs over a Bush desire to
be commander-n-chief before the welfare of citizens. Sure we need oil.
For 35 years I have been hearing about our dependency on foreign oil.
Don't you think if we wanted, we could have eliminated our dependency on
foreign oil. France gets almost 80 percent of their electricity from
neuclear energy. Why can't we? The automobile and petrochemical industry
as well as the Military Industrial Complex which Eisenhower warned us about
is why we are still dependent.

I support Israel. But tell me ONE conflict what Israel has stood with the
U.S. toe to toe and battled with us. There may be some conflicts, but I
don't remember any. I would be delighted to know. I do know about 5
billion in yearly aid we give Israel.

True. Here is the acid test. If Hussain had WMD's....why didn't he use
them during the invasion? Bush lied. Google the term Downing Street Memo
for details.

UH....let us not forget that Al-quadi <sp> was responsible and claimed
responsibility. We are tooo deep to pull out with complete victory, yet I
fear this will be another VietNam. Also, try googling the search terms of
Bretton Woods military gold military. There will be several hits. There
you will get a good idea of where we are heading with respect to financial
affairs and military power. I fear we are like the Roman's during their
last hurah!

Thanks for the reply.
